ParkwoodExtended School Day
The aim of the Extended Schools Provision is to provide affordable, safe and stimulating after school care for children who attend our school.
We are able to offer care from 7:30am until 6:00pm.
Breakfast Club (7:30-8:30am)
Our Breakfast clubs are held every morning from 7:30-8.30am.
This club is available to all pupils at Parkwood.
The children are looked after by school support staff so are well known by all the children. They are provided with a healthy breakfast, through the National School Breakfast programme and offered a choice of indoor activities.
You do not need to book, and can drop off your child on the day.
We send out half termly donation requests to cover the costs of staffing, this is via our School Ping! app.
After School Clubs
We offer a full range of afterschool clubs for pupils in Reception to Year 6.
These run on a termly basis and are booked and paid for in advance. Costs for clubs are from £50 per term (minimum of 10 weeks).
An example of clubs on offer include:
- Football
- Ballet
- Street Dance
- Cookery
- Boxing
- Karate
- Yoga
Wraparound Club 3:15-4:15pm & 4:15-6:00pm
Wraparound club provides care for all pupils.
Children are also provided with a small, healthy snack (from 4:15pm) and a range of activities. Sessions for wraparound are required to be paid for in advance.
The school aims to provide a stimulating environment for all children attending the club. We provide a variety of equipment and activities for all children to enjoy, including use of the school grounds.
Costs and timings:
- Stay and play - 3:15-4:15 £6 per session
- Post club wraparound (following an after school club taking place 3:15-4:15) - 4:15-6:00pm £10 per session
- Full wraparound - 3:15-6:00pm £15 per session
We encourage block booking to ensure you are able to secure a place, however we also have a small number of ad hoc spaces available, please contact the office to enquire about availability and to book a session.
