COVID-19 Information for Parents & Visitors

Parkwood Primary School and Nursery is now fully open

  • We are asking families to be vigilant about illness and to lower the threshold for what may be considered ‘well enough to come to school’. Please take any symptoms of illness even more seriously than usual and err on the side of caution. We will endeavour to be equally vigilant with those who attend school, both students and staff members.
  • We have returned to our normal hours of school for all year groups - 8.45am - 3.15pm. The school gates open at 8.30am. Any arrivals after 8.45am will have to report to the office.
  • We are maintaining a loose ‘class bubble’ system in order to reduce the likelihood of transmission. This includes at meal time and for outdoor play.
  • We will continue to use a mixture of learning in order to support students learning both remotely and in person, as required for individuals and groups.
  • We are promoting social distancing and encouraging ventilation both within and outside classrooms.
  • We have regular points during the day for hand-sanitising. Students are encouraged to carry their own hand-sanitiser.
  • We are holding assemblies with classes in the hall, however until further notice we are not inviting parents to attend - we hope to be able to do so in the coming months.
